WINTHROP, Mass. (1/13/26) - Two Ravens earned weekly honors from the New England Women's Hockey Alliance on Tuesday after a successful sweep over Sacred Heart University.
Jill Hertl (Highland Park, Ill.) was named NEWHA Goaltender of the Week after recording 79 saves throughout the weekend. In game 1 over the Pioneers, Hertl posted 45 saves, keeping the Pioneers from scoring in a close game and overtime. In Game 2, Hertl put up another strong performance, closing out the series with two wins. This marks the third week that Hertl has received this honor from the NEWHA conference.
Addison Andre (South St. Paul, Minn.) was named NEWHA Rookie of the Week, after receiving Player of the Week honors earlier this season. Andre led the team in shots against the Pioneers in game 1 of the series. In game 2, she recorded 1 assist and scored an empty net goal for the Ravens, securing the win and sweep against the Pioneers. Overall, she maintained a +2 rating on the weekend.
The Ravens will play at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena on Friday, January 16th and Saturday, January 17th at 7 PM against Post University, hoping to keep the win streak alive.
