NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (4/14/26) - Freshman Ines Gabarro (Barcelona, Spain) of the Franklin Pierce University women's tennis team has been named the Northeast 10 Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. 

Gabarro compieled a 2-1 record at No. 1 singles on the week, earning straight-set victories over Assumption (6-2, 6-4) and Bentley (6-3, 6-3). In doubles play, she went a perfect 3-0 at No. 2 doubles, picking up wins against Bentley (6-2), St. Michael's (6-2), and Assumption (6-4). 

For the week, Gabarro totaled five combined victories while competing at the top of the lineup, helping the Ravens to a 2-1 record, including a 7-0 sweep of Bentley and a 4-3 road win over St. Michael's. 

Franklin Pierce women's tennis returns to action tomorrow (4/15) when they host Saint Anselm at 2:00 p.m.
