CHERRY HILL, N.J. (4/12/26) – The Franklin Pierce University women's rowing team closed out competition at the Knecht Cup Regatta on Sunday at Cooper River Park, highlighted by a first-place finish in the petite final for the Women's Double.
The duo of
Z Abdelnur (Augusta, Ga.) and
Alexis Massey (Old Saybrook, Conn.) delivered a strong performance in the Women's Collegiate 2x petite final, crossing the line first with a time of 10:10.93. The victory secured a seventh-place overall finish in a competitive field, marking a successful weekend for the Ravens' top boat.
After advancing out of Saturday's heats, Abdelnur and Massey returned to the water Sunday morning and controlled their race, finishing ahead of Monmouth and Lafayette to claim the petite final title.
The Knecht Cup Regatta marks one of the premier spring events for the Ravens, as Franklin Pierce travels to Assumption for a dual regatta next weekend (4/19).
