CHERRY HILL, N.J. (4/11/26) – The Franklin Pierce University women's rowing team opened competition at the Knecht Cup Regatta on Saturday at Cooper River Park, highlighted by a strong showing from the Women's Double that earned a spot in Sunday's final.
In the Women's Collegiate 2x, the duo of Z Abdelnur (Augusta, Ga.) and Alexis Massey (Old Saybrook, Conn.) placed third in their heat with a time of 9:12.60. Their performance secured advancement to the final, where they are scheduled to race Sunday morning.
The Ravens will compete in the petite final against Gordon, Lafayette, Oklahoma City, Monmouth, and Adrian.
Meanwhile, the Women's Novice 4+ crew competed in its opening heat, finishing fourth with a time of 9:31.63. The lineup featured Hannah Tingley (Framingham, Mass.) as coxswain, along with Gracehelen Lewis (Laconia, N.H.), Kiley Morel (Goffstown, N.H.), Isabella Goucher (Hampton, N.H.), and Valerie Stenersen (New Ipswich, N.H.).
The Knecht Cup Regatta continues Sunday, with the Ravens' double returning to the water in the final at 8:40 a.m.
