NEW HAVEN, Conn. (5/2/26) - Franklin Pierce wrapped up competition at the NE10 Outdoor Championships with a fifth-place finish, totaling 92 points, following a strong two-day performance highlighted by success in the sprints, relays, and throwing events.
On Day Two, the Ravens were led by a standout performance from
Issys Price, who earned a runner-up finish in the 100 meters to score eight points after qualifying on Friday. Price also played a key role in the 4x100-meter relay, teaming with
Mimi Ortiz,
Lanette StJohn, and
Sidney Chapman to place second and add another eight points to the team total.
In the hurdles,
Lanette StJohn delivered a podium finish in the 400-meter hurdles, placing third and scoring six points, while
Mimi Ortiz added two points with a seventh-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles. Chapman also contributed on the track with a sixth-place finish in the 200 meters (three points), and the Ravens picked up additional relay points with a fifth-place finish in the 4x400.
In the field events, Franklin Pierce saw another strong showing in the throws.
Destiny Fields highlighted the group with a second-place finish in the discus (eight points), while
Emily Nhun added four points with a fifth-place finish in the shot put.
These performances built on a strong Day One effort that included a dominant hammer throw group and multiple podium finishes, helping the Ravens secure a top-five finish in a competitive conference field.
