MEDFORD, Mass. (2/14/26) – The Franklin Pierce Ravens closed out the regular season of indoor this weekend at the Tufts Cupid Challenge, turning in several top-10 performances in their final competition before next week's NE10 Indoor Championships.
On the men's side, Jamel Lee (New Haven, Conn.) highlighted the day with a third-place finish in the 60-meter Invite final, crossing the line in 6.94 after qualifying with a 6.97 in prelims. In middle-distance action, freshman Noah Roberts (Westerly, R.I.) delivered a strong effort in the 800 meters, placing fifth overall in 1:59.26. Junior Nathan Donahue (Middleboro, Mass.) added a top-10 finish in the long jump, taking seventh with a leap of 6.60 meters (21-8.00).
For the women, freshman Melany Walker (Queens, N.Y.) posted a podium performance in the 400 meters, finishing third overall in 1:04.25. In the throwing events, senior Destiny Fields (Lindenwold, N.J.) led the way with a seventh-place finish in the weight throw at 14.13 meters, while Emily Nhun (Biddeford, Maine) secured a top-10 placement in the shot put with a mark of 10.89 meters.
The Franklin Pierce track and field team now turns its attention to the NE10 Indoor Championships. Day one starts Thursday (2/19) at The Track at New Balance.
