CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (1/24/26) — Franklin Pierce Track & Field posted a balanced effort at MIT's Gordon Kelly Invitational, combining for 17 top-10 placements across sprints, mid-distance, jumps, and throws. The Ravens were highlighted by event wins from
Issys Price (Brockton, Mass.) in the women's 60 meters and
Anthony Johnson (Syracuse, N.Y.) in the men's triple jump, along with multiple podium-level performances in both track and field events.
Women's Results
Franklin Pierce's women produced 12 top-10 finishes, led by sophomore
Issys Price, who dominated the 60 meters from start to finish. Price won the prelims in 7.74 before capturing the event title in 7.68, marking one of the top Northeast 10 times this season. Freshman
Mimi Ortiz (Nashua, N.H.) joined her in the final and placed seventh, and later added another top-10 showing with a sixth-place finish in the 60 hurdles.
In the sprints,
Abbie Jacobson (Cumberland, Maine) earned a top-10 placement in the 200 meters with a seventh-place finish (27.10), while
Lanette StJohn (Hayden, Ala.) took second in the 400 meters after running 1:00.20. StJohn also added a 16th-place finish in the high jump, while teammates
Kaitlyn Titus (Baltic, Conn.),
Rachel LeBlanc (Winchendon, Mass.), and
Julie Greene (Marshfield, Mass.) gave the Ravens strong depth with three top-10 high jump marks, led by Titus and LeBlanc tied at 1.48m.
The jumps unit continued to score with Titus placing eighth in the triple jump (10.01m) and graduate student
Lizzy Jones (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) taking tenth. In the throws, senior
Destiny Fields (Lindenwold, N.J.) delivered the team's best finish with a third-place result in the shot put at 11.80m. Senior
Emily Nhun (Biddeford, Maine) added a seventh-place finish in the weight throw (13.89m), while freshman
Alexa Sprague (Bennington, Vt.) cracked the top-15 in the event with a strong 12.95m showing.
Men's Results
The men's team secured five top-10 placements, led by freshman
Anthony Johnson (Syracuse, N.Y.), who won the triple jump with a mark of 14.05m — the best of his collegiate career. Johnson's victory was complemented by sophomore Antonio Adams Delgado (Westfield, Mass.), who delivered two top-five finishes with third in the high jump (1.96m) and fourth in the long jump (6.63m).
On the track, redshirt freshman
Jamel Lee (New Haven, Conn.) advanced through 60-meter prelims and finished sixth in the final with a time of 7.07. Mid-distance runners added two more top results, with freshman
Evan Spence (Salem, N.H.) placing third in the 800 meters (1:59.89) and sophomore
Sam Fortin (Hebron, Conn.) taking fifth in the 800 before returning to finish second overall in the mile with a strong 4:22.74.
