NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (9/29/2025) - Franklin Pierce University women's soccer graduate student, Samantha Breton (Chicopee, Mass.) has been named the Northeast 10 Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. 

Breton anchored the Ravens' back line during a perfect 2–0 week, playing all 180 minutes and helping Franklin Pierce limit opponents to just one combined goal. She was instrumental in the team's 1–0 shutout victory on the road at Bentley on Tuesday, then followed with another strong performance in Friday's 2–1 home win over Pace. Through seven starts this season, Breton has been a steady presence on a defensive unit that has posted four shutouts and allowed just four goals. 

The Ravens (6-1-0, 3-0-0 NE10) return to action on Tuesday, September 30, when they travel to Bridgeport for a non-conference matchup starting at 3:00 p.m.
