NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (10/27/25) - Franklin Pierce University's Maddie Fitzgerald (Whitman, Mass.) of women's soccer and Zoe Noorlag (Amersfoort, Netherlands) of field hockey have each earned Northeast 10 Conference Weekly Honors after helping lead their teams to pivotal victories last week.
Fitzgerald was named NE10 Rookie of the Week after a breakout performance that saw her score in consecutive matches. The freshman midfielder tallied the game-winning goal in Friday's 3-0 win over Maine–Fort Kent and added another score in Sunday's 4-2 conference victory at Southern Connecticut State. Through her debut season, Fitzgerald has appeared in all 15 matches, totaling three goals and one assist for seven points.
Noorlag was recognized as the NE10 Goalie of the Week following an exceptional week in the cage, posting two straight shutouts to backstop the Ravens to wins over American International and St. Thomas Aquinas. The junior played all 60 minutes in both contests, combining for 10 saves and a perfect 1.000 save percentage. On the season, she has started every game for Franklin Pierce, collecting 127 saves, two shutouts, and a .770 save percentage across more than 830 minutes of action.
Both teams hit the road this week, as field hockey visits Bentley University on Tuesday at 6 p.m., while women's soccer travels to face nationally ranked Mercy University on Wednesday for a non-conference matchup.
