HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first quarter, the Ravens came under pressure early from the Falcons when two and a half minutes in Gracie Moore found the back of the net putting the Falcons up 1-0.
- The second quarter saw the Ravens match the energy of the Falcons from the start when the ball found the stick of Clukey who beat the Falcon's keeper and equalized the score 1-1 nine minutes in.
- Great defensive plays and incredible saves from Ravens goalkeeper and NE10 Goalie of the Week Zoe Noorlag (Amersfoort, Netherlands) held the Falcons scoreless in the second period meaning the score would remain level going into the halftime break.
- The Ravens came into the second half soaring. Three minutes into the third period Zavras beat her defender and hit a hard shot that deflected off a Falcons defender but ended up chipping over Falcon's keeper, Annie Lorenz, and hit the back of the net giving the Ravens the 2-1 lead over the Falcons.
- The lead looked to be short lived as just two minutes later Franklin Pierce gave up a penalty to Bentley, but Noorlag came up clutch yet again denying Lilly Cook from the spot, salvaging the Raven lead.
- The fourth quarter was all about the Ravens defensive play as they faced 5 shots, 3 on target but allowed no goals as they came out victorious 2-1, snapping the Falcons 7 game home winning streak this year.
