Ravens Fall to the Owls in Last Regular Season Matchup

NEW HAVEN, Conn. 11/1/25 - In an important game for both squads as this would determine the last two spots heading into the postseason, Pierce would make a late comeback, but it wouldn't be enough to secure the 7th spot going into the NE10 championships.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • The Owls would strike early in the game when Isabella Folster would score on the penalty corner to set the momentum. 
  • In the second period, Zoe Noorlag (Amersfoort, Netherlands) would make 5 saves in order to keep the Owls from scoring again. 
  • In the third period though, the Owls would score three more goals, two of which were scored by Keana Criscuolo, extending their lead to 4-0. 
  • The Ravens would pick up speed in the fourth quarter though. Lily Zavras (Worcester, Mass.) would put a point on the scoreboard for the Ravens because of a penalty stroke. 
  • In the final second of the game, Sage Clukey (Winslow, Maine) would capitalize on the last play of the game off a pass from Puck Wanders (Doorn, Netherlands) on a penalty corner.  
  • Despite the Ravens increasing offensive chances in the fourth quarter, the Ravens ended their last regular season game in a 2-4 loss. 

BY THE NUMBERS 

  • The Owls outshot the Ravens 24 to 19. 
  • The Ravens had 12 penalty corners throughout the game. 
  • Zavras led the team with 4 shots on goal. 
  • Noorlag recorded 12 saves. 

NEXT UP FOR THE RAVENS: The Ravens will enter the NE10 Championship in the 8th spot, scheduled to play against the number 1 team, Assumption University on Tuesday, November 4th at 7 PM.
