NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (10/14/25) - Franklin Pierce University men's cross country first-year standout Gunner Currier (Canaan, N.H.) has been named the Northeast 10 Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Currier continued his impressive debut season with another strong performance at the 2025 Hopkinton Cross Country Festival on Friday afternoon, finishing seventh overall in a competitive field of over 100 runners. The first-year Raven crossed the line with a time of 25:54.27 over the 8K course, helping Franklin Pierce secure a third-place team finish against a field that included Division I and top regional programs.
Currier was the second Franklin Pierce finisher on the day and one of three Ravens to place inside the top 10, joining sophomore Sam Fortin (6th) and junior Liam Doherty (8th). His performance marked the fastest 8K time of his collegiate career to date.
The Ravens will return to action this weekend when they travel north to compete at the UVM Fall Foliage Invitational on Sunday, October 19.
