ST. ALBANS, Vt. (10/19/25) - The Franklin Pierce men's and women's cross country teams made the trip north to compete at UVM's Fall Foliage Invitational in St. Albans, Vermont. Facing a competitive field that included several Division I programs, the men's team earned a third-place finish while the women's team placed fourth. Sam Fortin (Hebron, Conn.) set the pace for the Ravens with an impressive third-place individual finish in the men's 8k race.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The women's team secured a fourth-place finish in a meet stacked with strong Division I competition, including UVM, Sacred Heart, and Brown. Freshman Rachel LeBlanc (Winchendon, Mass.) led the Ravens with a 5k time of 24:25.40, followed closely by Jennifer Kulick (Goffstown, N.H.) at 24:35.60 and Melany Walker (Queens, N.Y.) at 24:37.20. Lauren Muldoon (Hampton, N.H.) and Lilian Byrne (Methuen, Mass.) rounded out the scoring five for Franklin Pierce.
The men's team had a strong showing, finishing third overall. Fortin led the way finishing with a third-place finish and a time of 26:43.7. Liam Doherty (Methuen, Mass.) closely behind in sixth place, clocking a time of 27:05.30. Freshman Gunner Currier (Canaan, N.H.) was the next Raven across the line, placing 18th overall with a time of 27:41.1, while Noah Roberts (Westerly, R.I.) secured a 28th place finish at 28:09/7. John Viens (Berkshire, Vt.) rounded out the scoring five, finishing 33rd overall with a time of 28:31.4.
Evan Spence (Salem, N.H.), David Breault (Dudley, Mass.), and Trevor Maheu (Canaan, N.H.) also contributed to the team's depth with finishes in 36th, 36th, and 40th place, respectively, as the Ravens held their own against a field dominated by Division I competition.
UP NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: The Ravens will compete in the 2025 Northeast 10 championships, next Sunday (10/26). This year's championships will be hosted by Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H.
