NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (4/24/26) – The Franklin Pierce track & field teams turned in multiple top-10 performances on Friday at the Blue Devil Invite, using the meet as their final tune-up before the Northeast 10 Conference Championships next Friday.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
On the women's side,
Elaina Diamantis (Farmington, Conn.) led the way with a second-place finish in the javelin (33.15m), while
Charli Easton (Dudley, Mass.) followed with a fourth-place throw (26.77m) and
Kateri Ducharme (Bellingham, Mass.) placed fifth (25.03m). In the shot put,
Destiny Fields (Lindenwold, N.J.) earned a fourth-place finish (11.04m), with
Emily Nhun (Biddeford, Maine) adding a sixth-place mark (10.89m). Elizabeth Jones (St. Johnsbury, Vt.) also contributed a fourth-place finish in the pole vault (2.90m).
On the track,
Melany Walker (Queens, N.Y.) recorded an eighth-place finish in the 200-meter dash (27.15), rounding out the Ravens' top performances.
MEN'S RESULTS
For the men, Franklin Pierce saw a strong showing in the distance events, as
Connor Wilcox (Colchester, Conn.) placed seventh in the 3000-meter run (8:51.08) and
Gunner Currier (Canaan, N.H.) followed in 10th (8:58.45).
Sam Fortin (Hebron, Conn.) added a seventh-place finish in the 1500-meter run (4:01.19).
In the sprints,
Darren Romani (Seekonk, Mass.) placed ninth in the 100-meter dash (11.26), while
Noah Roberts (Westerly, R.I.) earned an eighth-place finish in the 400-meter dash (50.32).
In the field events,
Noah Delgado (Westfield, Mass.) and
Noah Cutler (Wallingford, Conn.) both secured top-10 finishes in the javelin, placing ninth (43.37m) and 10th (42.70m), respectively.
