Ravens Fall to Assumption Despite Strong Start, 7-16

RINDGE, N.H. (4/1/26) - In a NE10 conference matchup against Assumption University, the Ravens had a strong start against the Greyhounds, tying the game before Assumption pulled away in the second half, handing the Ravens a 7-16 loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • After the Greyhounds scored first in the opening period, Jackson Philion (Charlton, Mass.) and Chris Hunt (Billerica, Mass.) helped the Ravens take the lead over the Greyhounds. Before the end of the first, the Greyhounds were able to take the lead again, 2-3. 
  • In the second, Nathan Bushy (Falmouth, Mass.) scored two goals to help the Ravens stay level with the Greyhounds. With one second left in the first half, Aidan Gibbons (Billerica, Mass.) tied the game going into halftime 5-5. 
  • Despite another goal from Hunt and Ethan Cote (North Smithfield, R.I.) in the third period, the Greyhounds went on to score 11 goals in the second half of the game. 
  • The Ravens were unable to make up the deficit, losing to the Greyhounds 7-16. 

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS 

  • The Greyhounds outshot the Ravens 57 to 29. 
  • Sean Cote (Goffstown, N.H.) made a season high of 18 saves. 
  • Chuck Burmaster (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) recorded 4 ground balls.
