Men’s Lacrosse Falls to Post in Midweek Matchup at Sodexo Field

RINDGE, N.H. (3/4/26) – The Franklin Pierce University men's lacrosse team fell to Post University, 14-8, on Wednesday afternoon at Sodexo Field after the Eagles used a dominant second half to pull away. The Ravens held a slim lead early in the third quarter before Post responded with a lengthy scoring run that shifted the momentum and secured the road victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The two teams battled evenly throughout the first half, heading into the break tied at 4-4 after exchanging several scoring runs. Franklin Pierce found early success offensively, including goals from Chris Hunt (Billerica, Mass.) and Jackson Philion (Charlton, Mass.), as the Ravens briefly held a 3-2 lead in the opening quarter.
  • After halftime, Philion netted his second goal of the game to give Franklin Pierce a 6-5 lead with just over 11 minutes remaining in the third quarter. However, Post quickly responded and began a decisive scoring surge.
  • The Eagles rattled off nine unanswered goals spanning the third and fourth quarters to take control of the contest. Post attacker Ryan Denike led the charge during the run, scoring multiple times as the Eagles built a comfortable advantage.
  • Franklin Pierce managed to add a pair of late goals in the fourth quarter, but the Ravens were unable to close the gap as Post secured the 14-8 victory.
