BOSTON, Mass. (2/7/26) – The Franklin Pierce men's track & field team closed out Day 2 of the UMass Lowell Riverhawk Invitational with several strong performances across the board at The TRACK at New Balance, going up against deep fields loaded with Division I talent.
Sophomore
Carson Thomas (Washington Township, N.J.) once again led the Ravens in the jumps, turning in the team's top finish of the day with a fifth-place clearance of 1.95m (6' 4.75") in the high jump. Thomas also delivered a top-10 mark in the long jump, hitting 6.13m (20' 1.5") in the open section for ninth place.
Freshman
Anthony Johnson (Syracuse, N.Y.) added another top-10 performance with a strong effort in the triple jump, landing 13.33m (43' 9") to place 10th overall and continue his rise in the event.
On the track,
Jamel Lee (New Haven, Conn.) paced the 60-meter group in 7.02, while
Cristian Reinoso (Lawrence, Mass.) ran a smooth 50.08 in the invitational 400 meters. In the distance group,
Sam Fortin (Hebron, Conn.) led the way in the 3000 meters with a time of 9:00.31.
In the throws, freshman
Seamus Considine (South Kingstown, R.I.) put together another steady outing with a 14.40m (47' 3") mark in the invitational weight throw, while
Jah'rece Matthews (Roosevelt, N.Y.) highlighted the shot put entries with 13.58m (44' 6.75") in the invite section.
UP NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: The Ravens' throwers will be back in action tomorrow at the GBTC Invitational, hosted at the Gordon Indoor Track at Harvard.
