BOSTON, Mass. (1/18/25) – The Franklin Pierce University men's and women's track & field teams turned in multiple top-10 finishes at the Suffolk Ice Breaker Challenge on Saturday at The TRACK at New Balance.
MEN
Anthony Johnson (Syracuse, N.Y.) led the way for the Ravens with a second-place finish in the triple jump, recording a mark of 13.55 meters (44'5½") to secure a podium spot.
Antonio Adams-Delgado (Westfield, Mass.) followed with a fourth-place finish in the long jump, clearing 6.47 meters (21'2¾"), while
Zaire Rosa (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and
Nathan Donahue (Middleboro, Mass.) also earned top-10 placements in the event.
On the track,
Cristian Reinoso (Lawrence, Mass.) and
Javon Stigler (Stafford, Conn.) both posted top-five finishes in the 400 meters, giving Franklin Pierce two of the meet's strongest sprint performances.
Jamel Lee (New Haven, Conn.) added a sixth-place finish in the 60 meters, while
Sam Fortin (Hebron, Conn.) placed seventh in the mile with a time of 4:20.46.
Declan Morgan (West Springfield, Mass.) also recorded a seventh-place finish in distance competition.
WOMEN
The Ravens posted several podium and top-10 finishes across sprints and throws.
Issys Price (Brockton, Mass.) highlighted the meet with a first-place finish in the 60 meters, winning the final in 7.76 after advancing through prelims earlier in the day.
Lanette StJohn (Hayden, Ala.) also earned a top-10 finish in the 200 meters, placing ninth with a time of 26.64.
In the field,
Abigail Philbin (Narragansett, R.I.) delivered a standout performance in the weight throw, earning third place with a mark of 15.10 meters (49'6½").
Emily Nhun (Biddeford, Maine) added a ninth-place finish in the same event at 13.51 meters (44'4"), while
Destiny Fields recorded a top-10 finish in the shot put, placing eighth with a throw of 11.39 meters (37'4½").
