HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons opened the scoring midway through the first period to take an early 1–0 lead.
- Franklin Pierce responded later in the opening frame when defenseman Todd Branish scored on the power play, assisted by John Sterling and Cade Miner, to even the contest at 1–1 heading into the first intermission.
- The opposition regained the lead early in the second period with a power-play goal and added another shortly thereafter to take a 3–1 advantage. An early goal in the third period extended the margin to 4–1.
- The Ravens answered late in the final frame as Austin Pick found the back of the net, assisted by Mario Paganini, cutting the deficit to two. A late power-play goal sealed the 5-2 outcome.
