WORCESTER, MASS. (2/20/2026) - Franklin Pierce men's ice hockey opened its weekend series on the road Friday night, falling 6-3 to Assumption at the Worcester Ice Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Franklin Pierce took an early lead when Nick Fish capitalized on a goal from Douglas McGuire and Mario Paganini in the fourth minute. Ten minutes later in the fourteenth minute, Paganini picked up a goal of his own, while McGuire added his second assist from Giovanni Ursillo, as well. The Ravens were able to keep the Greyhounds off the board in the first period despite nine shots, and went into the first intermission with a 2-0 lead.
- Assumption looked to come back in the second period, scoring in the first two minutes. This was answered by Thomas Perivolotis off an assist from Chris Foster to keep insurance on their lead. The Greyhounds, however, had 16 shots to the Ravens 9 in the second period and added two more goals to tie the game going into the final period.
- Despite more chances than either of the prior periods, the Ravens were not able to capitalize to regain their lead. Assumption tacked on three more goals in the third period to double their score, taking the 6-3 win.
