HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Ravens got off to a fast start in the first quarter, netting the first goal of the game a little more than 20 seconds into the first quarter thanks to Caleb White (Hampton, N.H.). The rest of the quarter saw chances for both sides to score but it wouldn't be until the last 6 and half minutes where the game would spice up when the Raven's scored their second from a shot off the stick of Jackson Philion (Charlton, MA) which nestled into the back of the net. The Chargers would respond 3 minutes later with a goal of their own from Zamar Faith. A minute later Caleb White got his second of the quarter to pull the lead to 2. The Chargers wouldn't end the quarter without the last word netting in the last 45 seconds to cut the deficit to only 1.
  • The second quarter had a similar story to the first. Although quiet for most of the quarter both teams created various opportunities to notch one of their own, however great goaltending from both Sean Cote (Goffstown, NH.) and Bryce Layton denied any goals until late in the quarter where with a little more than 6 minutes and half to go the Ravens pulled ahead by two thanks to Micheal Lawler (Wilmington, MA) off a Caleb White assist. Chargers would then score 2 unanswered goals from Chad Kayser and Steven Dupras to complete the comeback 4-4 and finish off the half.
  • The Chargers came out firing in the third quarter with Aiden McGrath netting the goal to put them ahead 5-4 within the first 2 minutes. The thrill was short lived for Dominican as a minute and 30 seconds later Aiden Gibbons (Billerica, MA) would pick up the ball and score to tie it back up. From there the Ravens went ramped scoring 3 goals from Jackson Philion, Nick Sawyer (Dracut, MA), and Aiden Gibbons to finish off the third quarter in style.
  • The Chargers opened up the final quarter with a goal of their own yet again form Chad Kayser. Despite the quick start, a pair of goals from Aiden Gibbons, entailing the freshman's first career hattrick and then one, would put the Raven's ahead 10-6. The Chargers would a score a late consolation goal a minute later from Sean Cosgrove. However, the Ravens would have the last say of the game, scoring their 11th and final goal of the game off a Jackson Philion shot securing his own hattrick as well and confirming the Raven's first win of the season 11-7.
