Franklin Pierce Lands Two on Don Hansen All-America Team

BROOKFIELD, Ill. (12/17/25) – Franklin Pierce University defenders Geno Facchetti (Wilbraham, Mass.) and Damir Stone (East Orange, N.J.) were named Honorable Mention selections on the 2025 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America Football Team, as announced Thursday.

Facchetti and Stone were two of six Northeast 10 Conference student-athletes recognized nationally by Don Hansen. All six honorees were also named D2CCA All-Super Region One selections during the 2025 season.

Facchetti, a senior linebacker, capped a record-breaking campaign after earning NE10 Defensive Player of the Year honors. He totaled 62 tackles, including 39 solo stops, while leading the conference with 15.5 tackles for loss for 69 yards. His 9.0 sacks set a new single-season program record and helped Franklin Pierce lead the NE10 in total team sacks.

Stone joined Facchetti on the Don Hansen list following a standout season in the Ravens' secondary. A NE10 All-Conference First Team selection, Stone was also named to the New England Football Writers Division II All-New England Team and earned D2CCA All-Super Region One First Team Defense honors. He finished the season with 26 total tackles, three interceptions, and a team-high 15 pass breakups, the latter leading the NE10 and setting a new Franklin Pierce single-season record.

The Don Hansen All-America Team continues the legacy of longtime small college football advocate Don Hansen, founder of Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette, which began selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams in 1988.
