Six Women’s Soccer Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

RINDGE, N.H. (11/25/25) - Six players from the Franklin Pierce women's soccer team were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team on Tuesday.

Samantha Breton (Chicopee, Mass.), Olivia Crespo (Ludlow, Mass.), Jenni Huttunen (Tuusula, Finland), Claudia Peirce (Carver, Mass.), Lindsey Price (Plainfield, Conn.), and Makenzie Shean (Agawam, Mass.) received the honor, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their performance on the field and in the classroom. Breton, Peirce and Shean advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration. 

The 2025-26 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student0athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions - NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA. To earn a spot on the team, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50, and compete in 90% or start in 66% of their team's matches. 

Graduate student Samantha Breton held a cumulative GPA of 3.716 at Bryant University before transferring to Pierce to earn her MBA in Sports Management. Breton has started in 20 games for the Ravens, with only one game that she did not appear in. As a reliable defender for the Ravens, Breton has also added 1 goal and 2 assists to the stat sheet this season. 

Senior Olivia Crespo holds a 3.92 GPA while majoring in Sports and Recreation Management. The midfielder has appeared in all 21 games this season, starting in 20. Crespo has tallied 5 goals and 5 assists for 15 points, including the game-winner against Mercy University to send the Ravens to the third round of the NCAA Division II Tournament. 

Junior Jenni Huttunen majors in Biology while maintaining a 3.67 GPA at Pierce. With 18 starts in 18 appearances of the Ravens' 21 games, Huttunen has contributed 8 goals and 4 assists, proving herself as a key playmaker. 

Senior Claudia Peirce leads the Ravens both in the classroom and on the field. Majoring in Health Science, Peirce holds a 3.93 GPA while starting in 20 of 21 game for Franklin Pierce, contributing on both the midfield and forward lines. Peirce has netted 9 goals this season, and adding 5 assists for 23 points. 

Senior Lindsey Price has appeared in and started 20 games for the Ravens this season. Majoring in Health Science, Price holds a 3.56 GPA. The defender has proved to be a solid member of the back line for Franklin Pierce, helping to hold opponents to no more than 3 goals in a single game all season. 

Graduate student Makenzie Shean completed her undergraduate career at Barry University with a 3.881 GPA before returning to Pierce to earn her MBA in Accounting. At midfield, Shean has stated in all 20 games she has appeared in for the Ravens, contributing 8 goals and 8 assists.
