RINDGE, N.H. (11/25/25) - Three players from the Franklin Pierce men's soccer team were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team on Tuesday.
Dani Almeida (Lisboa, Portugal), Joao Araujo (Madeira, Portugal), and Julen Martin (Bilbao Spain) received the honor, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their performance on the field and in the classroom.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student0athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions - NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, and NAIA. To earn a spot on the team, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50, and compete in 90% or start in 66% of their team's matches.
Junior Dani Almeida holds a 3.50 GPA while majoring in Digital Media Design at Franklin Pierce. The forward has played in all 19 games for the Ravens, starting in 2. Almeida has tallied 3 goals and 3 assists for 9 points on the season.
Graduate student Joao Araujo holds a 3.61 GPA while earning his MBA in Leadership. A sophomore on the field, Araujo has started in 12 of the Ravens' 19 games at midfield. He has contributed 5 goals and 5 assists for 15 points.
Graduate student Julen Martin is working towards his MBA in Sports Management, with a 3.66 GPA. The defender has started in 16 of the 17 games he has played in, contributing on both ends of the field. While holding down the Ravens' back line, Martin has also tallied 3 goals and 4 assists in the 2025 season.
