RINDGE, N.H. (11/30/25) - In the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division II Championships, the Ravens played against the Gannon Golden Knights. With the late goal from Gannon in the 78th minute, the Ravens fell to the Golden Knights 1-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED

·      In the first half, Gannon would strike first when Per Kristian Lauvstad would find Sverre Orten for the shot past David Skorodumov (Ashland, Mass.).

·      Going into the second half, the Ravens were in search of the equalizer. In the opening minutes of the second half, Joao Araujo (Madeira, Portugal) would take a shot from far outside the box, burying to right past the glove of the Gannon goalkeeper.

·      With both teams tied at 1-1, each team would have their chances on net. In the 77th minute, Enzo Rekka would take a few touches around the Ravens defense, finding the open shot for the lead.

·      The Ravens were unable to capitalize on their last few chances and ended their search for the National title.

·      The Ravens outshot the Golden Knights 17 to 10.

·      Pierce had 13 fouls while Gannon had 8.

·      Araujo led the team with 5 shots.
