NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (9/14/26) – The Northeast-10 Conference announced its weekly men's soccer awards on Monday, with a pair of Franklin Pierce University standouts earning recognition. Senior Guillermo Rios (Asuncion, Paraguay) was named NE10 Player of the Week, while freshman Will Britton (Auckland, New Zealand) earned a spot on the weekly honor roll.
Rios earned Player of the Week honors after recording three goals during the week. Last Wednesday against Bentley University, Rios scored the go-ahead goal in Franklin Pierce's 5-0 victory. He followed that performance with the game-winning goal against Saint Thomas Aquinas College, finding the back of the net in the second half to help secure the victory.
Britton also made an immediate impact during the Ravens' 5-0 win over Bentley, scoring twice in the second half. The performance came in Franklin Pierce's first matchup against Bentley since the 2025 NE10 Championship game. Britton has continued to make his presence known on the offense this season, recording three goals through the Ravens' opening matches.
Franklin Pierce returns to action on Friday, September 18, traveling to Southern Connecticut State University for its NE10 conference opener. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
