GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (8/29/26) - With another matchup in the Adelphi Kick-Off Tournament, Franklin Pierce made a comeback late in the contest, defeating the Wildcats, 4-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wilmington opened the contest with an early goal, after Matthew Yi found the back of the net.
- Franklin Pierce answered later in the first half, when Will Britton (Auckland, New Zealand) scored off a pass from Dani Almeida (Caxias, Portugal).
- Wilmington took the lead in the first few minutes of the second half, scoring two goals within 3 minutes of each other.
- Franklin Pierce cut the deficit down when a penalty kick was awarded to the Ravens, allowing Guillermo Rios (Asuncion, Paraguay) to fire a shot past the Wildcats goalkeeper.
- In need of a comeback, the Ravens found two more wins in the final ten minutes of the game. Rios was able to secure his second goal of the night, while JJ Forskin (South Yarmouth, Mass.) secured the game winning goal in the 84th minute.
- This marks the first win of the 2026 season.
