MANSFIELD, Pa. - The Franklin Pierce University field hockey team fell 3-0 in a non-conference match up Friday afternoon.
With the loss, the Ravens move to 1-2 overall.
Franklin Pierce entered the second quarter trailing 1-0 before the home team added two goals to take a 3-0 advantage into halftime.
The Ravens created their best offensive opportunities during the second quarter.
Reese Swanson and
Puck Wanders each put a shot on goal, while Franklin Pierce earned two penalty corners.
Franklin Pierce held the opposition scoreless throughout the second half.
Zoe Noorlag played the entire 60 minutes in goal and finished with eight saves.
Swanson led the Ravens with three shots, while
Brynnlea Chaisson added two and Wanders recorded one. All three players placed a shot on goal.
Franklin Pierce returns to action on Sunday, September 13, for a road game against Bloomsburg University beginning at noon.
