RINDGE, N.H. (4/8/26) – Franklin Pierce softball used a late-game comeback and a dominant pitching performance to sweep Assumption in a Northeast-10 doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon at Pappas Field.
Game One: Franklin Pierce 5, Assumption 4
Franklin Pierce trailed early in the opener, as Assumption scored two runs in each of the first two innings to take a 4-2 lead. The Ravens answered in the first with a two-run home run from
Delaney Duford (Concord, N.H.) to even the score, but the Greyhounds regained the advantage in the second.
After being held in check through the middle innings, Franklin Pierce broke through in the fifth.
Alicia Ott (Stockton, Calif.) drove in a run on a fielder's choice to make it a one-run game before
Bailey Dzivasen (Uxbridge, Mass.) delivered the biggest hit of the afternoon, ripping a two-run double to center to give the Ravens a 5-4 lead.
The Ravens' pitching staff held firm the rest of the way, shutting out Assumption over the final innings to secure the comeback victory. Duford led the offense with three hits and two RBI in game one, while
Brooke Koehler (Surprise, Ariz.) earned the win in relief.
Game Two: Franklin Pierce 6, Assumption 1
In game two, Assumption struck first in the opening inning, but Franklin Pierce quickly took control with a five-run fourth inning.
Camryn Van Valkenburgh (San Dimas, Calif.) tied the game with an RBI single before
Danica Nielsen (Oceanside, Calif.) gave the Ravens the lead with a sacrifice fly.
Zoey Galindo (Lakewood, Calif.) followed with a two-run double to extend the advantage, and
Charlit Hartenstein (Massapequa, N.Y.) capped the inning with an RBI single to make it 5-1.
Ott added insurance in the fifth with a solo home run, pushing the lead to 6-1.

Georgia Clough (Barriere, British Columbia) was dominant, tossing a complete game while allowing just two hits and one run to earn the win.
Galindo led the Ravens offensively in the second game with two hits and two RBI, while multiple players contributed to an 11-hit effort as Franklin Pierce completed the sweep and extended its win streak to 12 games.
