RINDGE, N.H. (4/11/26) - In day one of the four game series against Pace University, the Ravens split the day, suffering their first NE10 conference loss of the season. The Ravens rallied in game two, powered by a 4-run fourth inning.
GAME ONE – Franklin Pierce 5, Pace 8
The Setters took an early lead in the first and second innings with two doubles and stolen bases to go 3-0 over the Ravens.
It didn't take the Ravens long to respond as Charlit Hartenstein (Massapequa, N.Y.) drove in two runs on a double to center field, followed by an RBI double from Maisie Lerette (New Gloucester, Maine).
With the score tied, both teams were in need of a hit. In the 4th inning, the Setters scored two more runs after Nikki Chong doubled down the left field line. In the fifth, Chong singled to right field, bringing in another run.
The Ravens closed the gap in the bottom of the fifth. Freshman Danica Nielsen (Oceanside, Calif.) and Camryn Van Valkenburgh (San Dimas, Calif.) both hit an RBI single. Bringing the score to 7-5.
After the Setters added one more run in the seventh, the Ravens were unable to produce anymore offense, falling to their first conference opponent of the season.
GAME TWO – Franklin Pierce 5, Pace 0
The Ravens were looking to bounce back from game one. In a few quick first innings, the Ravens finally broke through in the fourth.
To start the inning, Hartenstein doubled to left field, before being replaced with Mia Keenan (Fitchburg, Mass.). Delaney Duford (Concord, N.H.) then singled to the short stop.
Duford stole second, setting up Alicia Ott (Stockton, Calif.) to hit a 2-RBI double.
Andie Anderson then singled to right field, driving in another run. Anderson stole two bases, putting herself in scoring position for Georgia Clough to hit an RBI single.
To add insurance for the Ravens, Clough doubled to right field, sending Lerette across home plate.
Clough recorded 3 strikeouts on the mound for the Ravens, only allowing 4 hits and 1 walk on the afternoon.
