RINDGE, N.H. (4/25/26) - In the beginning games of the conference series against Southern New Hampshire University, they split the double header, each game only lasting five innings with both teams putting up large numbers.
GAME ONE – Franklin Pierce 1, SNHU 10
The Penmen took an early lead, walking in for two runs to start the game, followed by two sacrifice flies.
In the third and fourth inning, Kaysie DeMoura singled to right field and Livi Sousa singled to the second basemen, extending their lead to 6-0 over the Ravens.
The Ravens were able to load the bases with singles from the top lineup, Savannah Arreguin (Los Angeles, Calif.), Zoey Galindo (Lakewood, Calif.), and Charlit Hartenstien (Massapequa, N.Y.) but were unable to produce any runs from it.
After a DeMoura three-run homer in the fifth and a homerun from Alyssa Abbott, the Ravens couldn't recover, despite a run from Taylor Ellis (Crandall, Texas) to end the game.
GAME TWO – Franklin Pierce 9, SNHU 1
The Ravens took a 4-0 lead in the first inning of game two. Delaney Duford (Concord, N.H.) hit a 2-RBI double to right field. Maisie Lerette (New Gloucester, Maine) then hit her fifth homerun of the season, bringing in two more runs.
The Penmen cut some of the lead down with an RBI double from Sidney Rose.
In the third inning, the Ravens scored four more runs on the Penmen. Duford hit another double, sending Hartenstien across the plate. Danica Nielsen (Oceanside, Calif.) then reached on an error, scoring 2 more. To end the inning, Camryn Van Valkenburgh (San Dimas, Calif.) singled to right center, advancing Mia Keenan (Fitchburg, Mass.) in for the eighth run of the game.
Looking for one more run in the fifth to meet the run rule, Van Valkenburgh hit a sacrifice fly to center field, leaving room for Andie Anderson (Phoenix, Ariz.) to cross over home plate for the last run.
Kennedy Morris (Stafford, Conn.) was solid for the Ravens in game two, only allowing 1 run throughout the game.
