Franklin Pierce Powers Past Saint Anselm in NE10 Sweep

MANCHESTER, N.H. (4/18/26) – Franklin Pierce softball swept a Northeast 10 doubleheader on the road at Saint Anselm on Saturday, earning a 9-1 win in five innings before completing the sweep with a 13-3 victory in game two.

Game 1: Franklin Pierce 9, Saint Anselm 1 (5 inn.)
Franklin Pierce broke the game open with multi-run innings in the second and fourth to secure the game one victory.

The Ravens opened the scoring in the second inning when Delaney Duford (Concord, N.H.) and Alicia Ott (Stockton, Calif.) each recorded singles to start the rally. Andie Anderson (Phoenix, Ariz.) followed with a two-RBI single to give Franklin Pierce a 2-0 lead, and Georgia Clough (Barriere, British Columbia) reached on an error to bring home another run and make it 3-0.

Franklin Pierce added six more runs in the fourth inning. Camryn Van Valkenburgh (San Dimas, Calif.) singled up the middle to drive in a run, before Duford delivered a two-RBI single to extend the lead. Ott capped the inning with a three-run home run to push the advantage to 9-0.

Saint Anselm scored its lone run in the fifth inning, but Clough and the Ravens closed out the game to secure the 9-1 win.

Clough earned the win in the circle, allowing four hits and one run over five innings while striking out seven.

At the plate, Duford went 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI, while Ott finished 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI. Anderson added two RBI in the win.

Game 2: Franklin Pierce 13, Saint Anselm 3
Franklin Pierce used multi-run innings in the first, third, fifth and seventh to complete the doubleheader sweep.

The Ravens opened the scoring in the first inning when Duford delivered an RBI single to bring home Zoey Galindo (Lakewood, Calif.). Ott followed with an RBI single, and Maisie Lerette (New Gloucester, Maine) added another RBI single to extend the lead to 3-0.

In the third inning, Lerette recorded an RBI single and Anderson added a sacrifice fly to push the lead to 5-0.

Franklin Pierce added three more runs in the fifth inning. Lerette drove in a run with a single, Clough brought home a run with a sacrifice fly, and Van Valkenburgh reached on an error to score another and make it 8-2.

The Ravens broke the game open in the seventh inning, scoring five runs. Van Valkenburgh and Savannah Arreguin (Los Angelos, Calif.) each reached on errors that brought in runs, before Galindo capped the inning with a three-run home run to extend the lead to 13-2.

Saint Anselm added a run in the seventh, but Franklin Pierce closed out the 13-3 victory.

Kennedy Morris (Stafford, Conn.) earned the win in the circle, allowing three runs on eight hits over seven innings while striking out four.
