Ravens Come Close but Drop Conference Game to Saint Michael’s

RINDGE, N.H. (4/15/26) - Franklin Pierce baseball dropped their third midweek conference game against Saint Michael's College 7-6, Wednesday afternoon. Despite coming close with two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, the Ravens could not complete the comeback over the Purple Knights.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Tommy Sullivan started on the mound for the Ravens, keeping Saint Michael's off the board through two innings with two strikeouts. In the top of the third inning, the Purple Knights got on the board first with a three run homer to take an early lead.
  • Franklin Pierce answered with a leadoff homer by Joey Acker to add the first Ravens run of the game. A sacrifice fly by Curt Boyd with runners on the corner scored Nathan Eckerson followed by a double by Andreas Boglis scoring Rafael Rodriguez Rosa to tie the game at 3.
  • The Purple Knights extended their lead to 7-3  in the top of the fifth inning, and the score would remain until the bottom of the seventh.
  • A ground out to third base by Branley Andruw Cento scored Boglis for the fifth Ravens run of the game, followed by an Acker single which brought in Roque for the sixth and final run of the game. 

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS

  • Andreas Boglis led the Ravens offense going 3-5 at the plate including a double, while scoring one run and driving one in.
  • Franklin Pierce combined for 4 extra base hits including three doubles and a home run.
  • Lane LeClair led the Ravens pitchers, closing the game with five strikeouts, no runs, no walks, and only two hits in 3.0 innings pitched.

UP NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: Franklin Pierce travels to Saint Anselm College for a weekend series against the Hawks on Friday and Sunday, April 17th and 19th. First pitch of game one is set for 12:00 PM.
