Ravens Drop NE10 Matchup at Saint Michael’s

COLCHESTER, Vt. (4/14/26) – The Franklin Pierce University men's lacrosse team dropped a Northeast 10 road contest to Saint Michael's, 15-7, on Tuesday evening at Duffy Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • Saint Michael's controlled the game from the opening faceoff, scoring five goals in the first quarter and adding five more in the second to build a 10-0 lead late in the half.
  • Franklin Pierce broke through in the final seconds of the second quarter, as Michael Lawler (Wilmington, Mass.) found the back of the net off a feed from Jackson Philion (Charlton, Mass.) to make it 10-1 heading into halftime.
  • The Ravens showed more offensive life in the third quarter. Lawler struck again early, followed by an unassisted goal from Alex Costa (Billerica, Mass.) to cut into the deficit. After a Saint Michael's response, Franklin Pierce capitalized on a man-up opportunity, with Philion finishing off a pass from Aidan Gibbons (Billerica, Mass.) to make it 11-4.
  • In the fourth quarter, Gibbons and Colin Casey (East Moriches, N.Y.) each scored, including a man-up goal from Casey, while Chris Hunt (Billerica, Mass.) added a late tally. However, Saint Michael's maintained control and closed out the 15-7 victory.
