Ravens Split Sunday Twinbill, Earn 2-2 Series Split with Pace

RINDGE, N.H. (4/12/2026) — The Franklin Pierce softball team split Sunday's doubleheader against Pace University, bouncing back with an emphatic 11-3 victory in the second game to secure a 2-2 split in the four-game NE10 weekend series at Melissa Bisaccia field. 

Game One - Franklin Pierce 7, Pace 13
Pace struck first in the opening inning, but Franklin Pierce answered immediately as Savannah Arreguin (Los Angeles, Calif.) scored on an RBI double from Zoey Galindo (Lakewood, Calif.) to tie the game at 1-1.

The Setters took control in the third inning, scoring five runs highlighted by a grand slam from Ava Edmond and an RBI triple from Riley Jenkins to extend the lead to 7-1.

Franklin Pierce responded with a solo home run from Charlit Hartenstein (Massapequa, N.Y.) and a sacrifice fly by Maisie Lerette (New Gloucester, Maine) to make it 7-3, and Galindo added her second RBI double in the fourth to cut the deficit to 7-4.

Pace added three runs in the sixth to push the lead to 10-4, before the Ravens answered with three runs of their own. Arreguin delivered an RBI triple, Galindo added an RBI groundout, and Alicia Ott (Stockton, Calif.) drove in a run with a double to make it 10-7.

The Setters sealed the game with three runs in the seventh, including a two-RBI triple from Edmond, to secure the 13-7 win.

Arreguin led the Ravens with three hits and three runs scored, while Galindo drove in three RBIs.

Game Two - Franklin Pierce 11, Pace 3 (5 inn.)
The Ravens responded in dominant fashion in the nightcap, exploding offensively to earn a run-rule victory.

Franklin Pierce struck early in the first inning, as Hartenstein lifted a sacrifice fly to score Arreguin, before Delaney Duford (Concord, N.H.) launched a solo home run to make it 2-0.

After Pace tied the game in the third, the Ravens delivered the decisive blow with a massive inning at the plate. Franklin Pierce erupted for seven runs in the bottom of the third, turning a tie game into a commanding lead.

Hartenstein started the rally with an RBI single, followed by a sacrifice fly from Duford. Ott drove in a run with a single, and Lerette added an RBI triple to the gap. Georgia Clough (Barriere, British Columbia) continued the surge with an RBI single, while aggressive baserunning helped tack on additional runs. Camryn Van Valkenburgh (San Dimas, Calif.) and Arreguin each added RBI hits to cap the inning.

Franklin Pierce added one more run in the fifth on a sacrifice fly from Galindo to seal the 11-3 win.

The Ravens totaled 13 hits in the game, with multiple players recording multi-hit performances, including Arreguin, Duford, and Clough. Duford led the way with a home run and two RBIs.

In the circle, Kennedy Morris (Stafford, Conn.) earned the win, tossing all five innings while allowing just three runs, two earned, and striking out two.

UP NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: The Franklin Pierce softball team travels to St. Michael's for a midweek doubleheader. The NE10 matchup will start at 2:30 p.m. in Colchester, Vermont.
