WORCESTER, MASS. (3/28/26) - Franklin Pierce baseball traveled back to Worcester for their second of four conference games against Assumption. With two late home runs and strong pitching by Matt Lee, the Ravens came out on top, 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Franklin Pierce scored the first run of the game in the top of the second inning with a sacrifice fly to right field by Ivan Arias, bringing home Rafael Rodriguez Rosa who had reached on a single for himself.
• Matt Lee recorded eight strikeouts over the first seven innings to keep Assumption off the board. In the top of the eighth inning, Bryan Sanders II added a first-pitch solo home run to bring the Ravens ahead 2-0. 
• Rodriguez Rosa added a homer of his own in the top of the ninth to lead off the inning, which finalized the score at 3-0.

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS

• Matt Lee struck out 11 over 9.0 innings pitched and walked none to earn the win.
• Bryan Sanders II and Rafael Rodriguez Rosa each homered for two of the Ravens' three runs.
• Jacob Roque drew the lone walk for Franklin Pierce.
