Baseball Splits with Bentley on Day Two; Rodriguez Rosa Fuels 14-7 Win with Grand Slam

RINDGE, N.H. (3/15/26) - On day two of the first conference series against Bentley University, the Ravens split the day, falling in the first game 3-12 and winning in the second game, 14-7. The Ravens' first conference win was led by Rafael Rodriguez Rosa's (Meriden, Conn.) grand slam. 

Game 1 – Franklin Pierce 3, Bentley 12 

  • Bentley started the game strong in the first two innings, racking up 6 runs over the Ravens.  
  • In the third inning, the Ravens cut the deficit in half when Andreas Boglis (Stouffville, Ontario) hit a two-RBI double and Joey Acker (Upton, Mass.) scored on a passed ball. 
  • Acker also added to the scoring when he hit a homerun in the fifth inning, bringing the score to 6-3. 
  • The Falcons pulled away in the sixth and seventh inning, led by a three-run home run from Nick Pappas, bringing the final score of game one to 3-12 

Game 2 – Franklin Pierce 14, Bentley 7 

  • Franklin Pierce jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, scoring two runs in the first inning and adding another in the second.  
  • The Ravens broke the game open in the third with three runs, highlighted by a two-RBI double from Ivan Arias (Boston, Mass.) that extended the lead to 6–1.  
  • The Ravens continued to apply pressure throughout the game, adding runs in five different innings.  
  • Rodriguez Rosa led the offensive explosion, launching two home runs and driving in five runs, including a grand slam in the eighth that helped seal the victory.  
  • On the mound, Stephen Bangs (Stoughton, Mass.) earned the win after pitching six innings and allowing three runs while striking out five.  

UP NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: The Ravens return to Doctor Arthur and Martha Pappas Field next weekend for a four-game series against Pace University, starting on March 21st at 12:00 PM.
