MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (2/19/2026) - Franklin Pierce baseball picked up their first win of the season over Post University in dominant fashion Thursday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Ravens took the 1-0 lead early in the first inning after Andreas Boglis hit a two out triple and Curt Boyd singled to drive the run in. Johnny Ruggiero Jr. kept the lead in the bottom of the first inning letting up only one hit and notching a strikeout to end the inning.
- Franklin Pierce wasn't able to add to the lead in the top of the second, and fell behind when the Eagles came up to bat. Going into the third the Ravens trailed 4-1.
- With Boglis and Boyd back on base, reaching on a fielder's choice and hit by pitch respectively, Rafael Rodriguez Rosa homered to left field, tying the game at 4.
- In the top of the fourth inning, after Ruggiero was able to get out of the third without giving up a run, the Ravens added another 5. With bases loaded, Ivan Arias doubled to right field, scoring two runs to regain the lead, 6-4. In his second at-bat of the game, Evan Blake reached second base on a fielding error driving in three more runs, unearned. Franklin Pierce ended the top of the inning with the 9-4 lead. Post closed the gap in the bottom of the inning with a one-run double and two RBI home run. The teams went into the fifth inning 9-7 FPU.
- Jacob Roque's fifth inning triple would result in a run for the Ravens on a single by Arias. Joey Acker would tack on another run on passed ball, followed by Arias making it home on a ground out. With three on base, Thomas Dillon doubled scoring Boglis and Blake. Vinny Maslauskas added onto the scoring on a throwing error following Dillon's hit. In the bottom of the fifth inning, after Lane LeClair entered the game in relief of Ruggiero, Post added one run of their own to end the inning 15-8.
- The Eagles added their ninth and final run on a solo homer in the bottom of the sixth inning. In the top of the seventh, Maslauskas' doubled before Dillon reached on a fielding error, and Maslaukas continued his to home on a throwing error by the first baseman. On a passed ball, Dillon found himself at third base and scored unearned on a single by Roque.
- With Boglis on third base off a double and stolen base, Boyd hit a sacrifice fly for him to score the 18th Ravens run of the game.
- Back-to-back 1-2-3 innings for LeClair with a final Ravens run by Roque's triple scoring Dillon in between would finalize the score, 19-9 Franklin Pierce.
BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS
- Lane LeClair picked up the win pitching 5.0 innings allowing only 2 runs (both earned) on 5 hits and one walk with 12 strikeouts.
- The Ravens had eight extra-base hits, led by Rafael Rodriguez Rosa with a home run and Jacob Roque with two triples.
