HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Ravens came out aggressive offensively, trading baskets through the opening minutes. Enmanuel Ferreras (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) and Anthony Parker (Middletown, Conn.) each knocked down early shots to help Franklin Pierce briefly grab a first-half lead.
  • Saint Anselm answered with a strong shooting stretch midway through the first half, connecting on multiple three-pointers to create separation. Raymond Baka (Atlanta, Ga.) kept the Ravens within striking distance, attacking the rim and hitting from beyond the arc as Franklin Pierce closed the half trailing 48–40.
  • Out of the break, the Ravens continued to battle. Parker and Baka combined for key buckets, while Grgo Katic (Zagreb, Croatia) drilled a three to trim the margin to one possession at 59–58 midway through the second half.
  • However, the Hawks responded with back-to-back transition scores and timely perimeter shooting to rebuild their lead. Despite multiple pushes that cut the deficit to single digits, Saint Anselm capitalized on fast-break opportunities and second-chance points down the stretch to secure the conference victory.
