Ravens Fall to Dominican in Season Opener

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (2/13/26) - In the season opener for the women's lacrosse team, they played against Dominican University of California in a two-game series for the Ravens. Despite a quick goal for the Ravens to start the game, the Ravens suffered a 4-16 loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • With the Ravens opening the 2026 campaign, Olivia Robb (East Longmeadow, Mass.) found the back of the net early off a pass from Courtney Hannes (Tyngsborough, Mass.).  
  • Despite the first goal of the game coming from the Ravens, the Penguins were able to score 5 goals on the Ravens. 
  • The Ravens cut down Dominican's lead with a goal from Alyssa Brodeur (Boscawen, N.H.), marking her first collegiate goal.  
  • Dominican was able to hold a strong lead over the Ravens, bringing the score to 11-2 before Erin McIlroy (Newfields, N.H.) scored for the Ravens again to end the third. 
  • In the fourth quarter, Hannes scored a fourth goal for the Ravens but were unable to recover from the Penguins offensive surge, falling in their first matchup of the season. 

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS 

  • Olivia Godwin (Hanson, Mass.) made 13 saves. 
  • Robb and McIlroy led the team with 4 shots. 
  • Dominican outshot the Ravens 34 to 11.
