COLCHESTER, VT. (2/13/2026) - Franklin Pierce men's ice hockey faced a tough road contest Saturday night, falling 9-3 to Saint Michael's College.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Saint Michael's struck early with two goals in the first seven minutes of the first period. The Ravens were able to hold them off for the remainder of the first, and netted a goal of their own in the 18th minute. Matt Frett found the puck and sent it to Todd Branish at the blue line, one-timing it past the goaltender. The Ravens trailed 2-1 going into the first intermission.
- In the fifth minute of the second period, Douglas McGuire would take a chance into traffic in front of the net. Austin Pick got a piece of the puck, and Mario Paganini finished on the rebound, tying the game at 2 a piece.
- Two minutes later, the purple knights regained their lead. In the eighth minute, Paganini answered for his second goal of the night to tie at 3. Josh Tisdell sent the puck into the Ravens attacking zone, finding Isaiah Frankel and Paganini in front of the net. Paganini would ultimately come up with the rebound, and send the puck over the goal tender.
- The Purple Knights would score three more goals before the end of the second period, extending their lead to 6-3 going into the final period.
- The third period saw traded shots between the teams, and three penalties for the Ravens, allowing for power play opportunities for Saint Michael's. Two goals would come at even-strength for the Purple Knights, and the 9-3 decision was made on a power play goal in the 14th minute of the third period.
