King’s Hat Trick Leads Ravens Past Saint Michael’s, 8-1

SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (10/3/26) - Franklin Pierce Women's Ice Hockey swept Saint Michael's College with a dominant 8-1 win, highlighted by Chloe King's (Waconia, Minn.) 4 point game.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • The Ravens wasted no time taking control, scoring four times in the opening period. Abigail Broz (Hugo, Minn.) opened the scoring at 2:15, with assists from Addison Andre (Cottage Grove, Minn.) and Jenna Sharland (San Jose, Calif.). Just over three minutes later, Chloe King (Waconia, Minn.) scored twice in a seven-second span, first from Anna Rose (Memmingen, Germany) and Melanie Targosz (Livonia, Mich.), before adding an unassisted goal to make it 3-0. Sharland capped the opening-period scoring at 16:11, assisted by Andre and Casey Coffey (Hudson, Wis.), sending Franklin Pierce into the first intermission with a four-goal advantage. 
  • Franklin Pierce added to its lead midway through the second period when Mia Kraut (South Lyon, Mich.) found the back of the net at 11:56, assisted by Anna Caumo (Brunico, Italy) and Targosz. Saint Michael's answered with a goal from Brianna Jarvis at 14:45, but the Ravens carried a 5-1 advantage into the second intermission. 
  • The Ravens put the game away early in the third period, scoring three times in a span of just over three minutes. Jillian Sano (Downingtown, Pa.) scored at 3:45, assisted by Andre and King, before Rose added her first goal of the season at 6:39 with helpers from Targosz and Broz. King completed her hat trick just 34 seconds later, scoring at 7:13 with assists from Sophia Prentice (Massena, N.Y.) and Brenna Prellwitz (Bloomington, Minn.). Franklin Pierce finished with a 41-15 advantage in shots on goal, while Rylee Eno (Uxbridge, Ontario) made 15 saves in the victory.
