Ravens Fall to Lancers, 11-1

WORCESTER, MASS. (1/9/2026) - Franklin Pierce men's ice hockey suffered an 11-1 road loss Friday night against Worcester State at the Worcester Ice Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Franklin Pierce struck first in the first period when Mario Paganini slotted the puck past the Lancers' goaltender, finishing a setup from Austin Pick and Nick Fish to give the Ravens an early 1-0 advantage.
  • Despite the early scoring opportunity, the Ravens would not find the back of the net again. Worcester State answered in the first period with two late goals to take the 2-1 lead.
  • In the middle frame, the Lancers pulled away with five goals, including two on the power play, extending their advantage to 7-1 at the second intermission. 
  • Continuing to apply pressure, Worcester State added four more goals in the third period to close out the game 11-1.
