HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Framingham State opened the scoring on the power play midway through the first period and added a second goal later in the frame to take a 2-0 lead.
  • The Ravens responded late in the opening period when John Sterling buried a power-play goal to cut the deficit to 2-1, but the Rams answered before intermission to carry a 3-1 advantage into the break.
  • Framingham added a shorthanded goal early in the second period before Isaiah Frankel struck on the power play for Franklin Pierce, making it a 4-2 contest.
