HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Franklin Pierce came out sharp offensively, jumping out to an early lead behind strong perimeter shooting from Anthony Parker (Middletown, Conn.), who connected on four three-pointers in the opening half. The Ravens led by as many as 10 early in the first half and carried momentum through a competitive opening 20 minutes, but Daemen closed the half on a run to take a 41–37 edge at the break.
  • The second half featured several momentum swings, as Franklin Pierce repeatedly answered Daemen scoring runs. Raymond Baka (Atlanta, Ga.) was active inside on the glass and in the paint, while Enmanuel Ferreras (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) and Dylan Goodman (Long Island, N.Y.) provided timely buckets to keep the Ravens within striking distance.
  • Down the stretch, Daemen capitalized on second-chance opportunities and trips to the free-throw line to maintain its advantage. Franklin Pierce cut the deficit to six in the final minute, but the Wildcats closed out the contest to secure the 78–72 final.
BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS
  • Anthony Parker led all scorers with 24 points, shooting 9-of-16 from the field and 6-of-9 from beyond the arc. Raymond Baka added 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds, while Enmanuel Ferreras contributed nine points, five assists, and three steals.
  • As a team, Franklin Pierce shot 46.9% from the field and 36.4% from three-point range. Daemen finished shooting 50.0% overall and held advantages in points in the paint (40–34) and free-throw attempts.
UP NEXT FOR THE RAVENS: Franklin Pierce returns to Northeast 10 Conference action on Saturday, traveling to Bentley University for a 3:30 p.m. tip-off in Waltham, Massachusetts.
