WINCHENDON, MASS. (1/17/2026) - The Franklin Pierce men's ice hockey dropped the second game of its weekend series to Assumption University, falling 8-0 Saturday afternoon at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams were able to keep each other off the board for the majority of the first period. Assumption struck first at 12:20 of the opening period, going into the first intermission with a 1-0 lead.Â
- In the second period, the Greyhounds scored early, followed by a pair of Ravens' penalties. The third Assumption goal came on the second man-up opportunity, leading 3-0 at the end of the second period.
- The third period began with an early Greyhounds goal, quickly followed by a pair of Ravens penalties, both of which resulted in goals for the opposition. The Ravens got out of two more man-down opportunities, but not before Assumption found the back of the net twice more, finalizing the score at 8-0.
