Rindge, NH (4/13/25) - The Franklin Pierce baseball team continued their dominance at home with a two-game sweep over the Adelphi Panthers on Sunday, winning game one 9-7 and game two 9-3.

After drawing some walks, the Panthers created havoc for the Ravens in the fourth inning. Giancarlo Rengifo grounded out to short, scoring Joe Pellegrino to tie the game at 1-1. The Panthers continued from there, as a Bryan McCleary single to center scored Johnny Catuosco, giving the Panthers the lead. James Eden then singled to score Bryan McCleary and Greyson Pizzonia. After that, Joe Pellegrino singled to short to score Alex Pende, giving the Panthers the 5-1 lead.

The Ravens did get a run back in the bottom of the fourth off an RBI single by junior outfielder Joey Acker (Upton, MA) that scored graduate third baseman Julien Monks (Pacé, France), cutting the Panthers' lead to 5-2.

The Ravens then tied the game 5-5 in the bottom of the fifth. Senior second baseman Kiobel Lugo (Boston, MA) scored on a passed ball, then Julien Monks drove a 2-RBI single into center field, scoring junior shortstop Ivan Arias (Boston, MA) and redshirt freshman catcher Curt Boyd (Braintree, MA).

Then, in the bottom of the eighth, redshirt junior outfielder Shane Hewlette (Deer Park, NY) drove a 3-run home run to deep left field, scoring Michael Quiros and Joey Acker, putting the Ravens ahead 9-7, which they would hold for the rest of the game.

The Panthers started game two hungry, looking to avenge their loss in game one. Johnny Catuosco singled to left field scoring Matt Ryan to open the scoring. Then, Jack Wishner singled to center, scoring Joe Pellegrino to put the Panthers ahead 2-0.

In the bottom of the fifth, the Ravens extended their lead again as Julien Monks reached first on an error by the pitcher, scoring Curt Boyd. Then senior outfielder Elias Meredith (Philadelphia, PA) singled to short, scoring Ivan Arias to put the Ravens ahead 8-3.
