HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the first quarter, the Ravens opened the scoring. Chris Hunt (Billerica, Mass.) shoots the first goal of the game. Though, just a few minutes later, Mercy counters with a goal from Jimmy Osorio. Then, just over 30 seconds later, Mercy takes the lead with a shot from Cole Hunsberger while they were a man. With a minute left in the quarter, Hunsberger tallies his second goal with another pass by Jimmy Osorio. 30 seconds later her shoots his third goal, this time being assisted by Devon Duchnowski, to make the game 4-1.
- The start of the 2nd quarter wouldn't treat the Ravens kindly. A trio of goals from Aidan Babnik, Christopher Bergerse, and Hunsberger put them in front 7-2. The Ravens got a much-needed answer from Nick Sawyer (Dracut, Mass.) who ripped a shot past Mercy's goalkeeper, making it 7-2. Mercy countered 13 seconds after as Ryan Smith scored, giving them the 8-2 lead. At the end of the 2nd quarter, Osorio scores to extend their lead over the Ravens, 11-2.
- Throughout the second half, Mercy continued to press the issue, starting with a goal under a minute into the 3rd quarter by Smith. Aidan Gibbons (Billerica, Mass.) gets the Ravens back on the board a few minutes later as the Ravens still trailed 13-3. Despite late efforts by Jackson Philion (Charlton, Mass.) on the man-up at the end of the third quarter, and a goal from Caleb White (Hampton, N.H.), the Ravens could not overcome the big deficit as they drop 17-5.
