Ravens Drop Match Against Goldey-Beacom

WILMINGTON, DE. (12/31/25) - Despite a close start for the Ravens in their matchup against Goldey-Beacom College, the lightning were able to pull away in the second half, handing the Ravens an 88-105 loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

  • The Lightning built a 44–39 halftime lead behind strong perimeter shooting and transition offense, while Franklin Pierce stayed close by attacking the paint and getting to the free-throw line. Emmanuel Ferreras (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) and Anthony Parker (Middletown, Conn.) led the Ravens' first-half effort, keeping the game within reach heading into the break. 
  • Goldey-Beacom took control early in the second half, opening with a run fueled by defensive pressure and fast-break scoring. Julian Williams, Tre Powell, and Emarquis Jones keyed the surge as the Lightning pushed the lead into double figures and continued to build momentum. A dominant stretch midway through the half extended the advantage to more than 20 points. 
  • Franklin Pierce continued to compete, getting late baskets from Parker and its bench, but Goldey-Beacom maintained its pace and efficiency to close out the 105–88 win. 

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS 

  • Parker led the team with 19 points. 
  • Ferreras recorded 7 rebounds. 
  • The Ravens shot 40.3% from the field and 22.6% from outside the circle.
