KANSAS CITY, Mo. (12/9/25) – The Franklin Pierce University women's soccer coaching staff, led by Head Coach Matt Johnson, was selected as the United Soccer Coaches East Region Staff of the Year after guiding the Ravens to a National Championship appearance and a second consecutive NCAA Final Four this season.
Johnson's staff consists of Kevon Isa, JP Navarro, Nathalia Da Silva, Merrick Mihalek, and Millie Conod. Athletic Trainer Nick Carter also played an instrumental role in keeping the student-athletes healthy throughout the season as the Ravens made another deep postseason run.
In just his sixth season at the helm, Johnson and the Ravens earned the No. 2 seed in the East Region and captured the NCAA East Regional Championship.
Franklin Pierce concluded the season with a 17-3-5 overall record after falling in the NCAA Division II National Championship in Colorado Springs, Colrorado.
During the 2025 season, the Ravens earned the Northeast 10 Defensive Player of the Year award, along with nine All-NE10 selections and five United Soccer Coaches All-Region honorees. Two Ravens also earned USC All-American honors.
In the classroom, six Ravens were recognized as College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections.
